Shankar Arumugavelu Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer Verizon Shankar Arumugavelu is the senior vice president and global chief information officer of Verizon Communications, a leading provider of wireless, fiber-optic and global IP network services. He is responsible for the company’s Information Technology strategy, architecture, development and management of the information systems portfolio, continued evolution of digital platforms, and operation of all supporting infrastructure. Before being named to his current position in Oct 2017, Arumugavelu served as senior vice president and chief information officer for Verizon Wireless and Verizon Consumer Markets. Previously, Arumugavelu was the senior vice president and chief information officer for Verizon’s wireless business unit. Prior to this, Arumugavelu has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility at Verizon and its predecessor companies. Immediately before his chief information officer assignment, he was senior vice president, Network Operations Support Systems for Verizon Telecom. He was responsible for systems strategy, architecture, design, development, implementation and maintenance of engineering, service provisioning, service assurance, workforce management, dispatch, testing, surveillance and performance management systems for voice, data, video, special access and new generation communication services. Arumugavelu began his career at GTE Data Services in 1997 as a Member of Technical Staff in the Enterprise Systems Group and advanced to increasing levels of responsibility in IT. In 1998 he was named Chief Architect of the group and was responsible for the design, development and maintenance of GTE’s service provisioning system. He was appointed as the Executive Director of the Provisioning and Activation Systems group in 2002. Arumugavelu was recognized as one of the “Premier 100 IT Leader” by Computerworld in 2014. Arumugavelu earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Anna University in India and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of South Florida. Lutz Beck Chief Information Officer Daimler Trucks North America Chris Bedi CIO ServiceNow Chris Bedi joined ServiceNow in September 2015 and currently serves as ServiceNow’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). Prior to joining ServiceNow, Bedi served as CIO of JDSU from August 2011 to March 2015 where he was responsible for IT, Facilities, and Indirect Procurement. Prior to JDSU, Bedi held various positions at VeriSign from April 2002 until August 2011, including CIO, VP Corporate Development, and VP HR Operations. RAMIN BEHESHTI Chief Product and Technology Officer Dow Jones and Company Ramin Beheshti is the Chief Product and Technology Officer for Dow Jones, a position he has held since January 2017. Mr. Beheshti is responsible for the global technical strategy, delivery and operations across all of the company’s customer facing products and internal technology, including digital product development, software engineering, cloud infrastructure and, information security. He joined Dow Jones from sister company, News UK, where he was Head of Product for The Times and The Sunday Times, driving their digital product development and delivery. He started his career at Deloitte Consulting. Mr. Beheshti holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick,UK. Melissa Bell Chief Information Officer Danaher Corporation Melissa Bell, Chief Information Officer and Vice President Business Services for Danaher Corporate effective June 2018. She brings an intellectual blend of technology and business knowledge with the ability to move strategy into action establishing new tools, services, service delivery and interaction models that deliver extended enterprise value. She joined Danaher in February 2015 and is most notably recognized for her leadership driving the successful global deployment of Workday across all Danaher Operating Companies. Melissa has over 20 years of experience providing Transformation and IT Leadership to Fortune 500 companies – both in consulting and industry roles.
